Just in time for the summer season, DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts received a large delivery of new games from Schmidt Spiele GmbH - a long-standing and reliable partner for over 20 years. The publisher Schmidt Spiele is one of the best-known German game manufacturers. It includes the Schmidt Spiele brands for puzzles, plush toys and simple and sophisticated games for children, families and adults.

DERTOUR presents new image videos for the Sentido, Playitas, ananea and Calimera brands, which emphasise the brand claim and hotel quality - in addition, the brand factsheets have been updated to present all important information in a clear and visually appealing way.

For the 10th anniversary of the DERTOUR Foundation, international journalists traveled to Sri Lanka to experience and support sustainable projects like mangrove reforestation. At the Sentido Heritance Negombo hotel, they also explored environmental initiatives and engaged in meaningful dialogue with the sustainability team.

The Guest Feedback Reputation & Quality Workshops are a key part of DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts' quality strategy, aiming to ensure and continuously improve hotel standards. In December 2024, our operations team visited hotel partners in Egypt and Tunisia to provide targeted training on guest feedback, modern technologies, sustainability, and entertainment.

The DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts team attended both FITUR in Madrid and ITB in Berlin to connect with international partners and drive fresh momentum for our hotel brands. Together with colleagues from various resorts and departments, we held inspiring meetings and strengthened our global presence.

As part of the Empowering Excellence Tour, Brand Manager Roy Louis Stephen and his team conducted inspiring workshops at the ananea Diamonds Resorts in Zanzibar, the Maldives and Kenya. The aim was to get the hotel teams excited about the “slow glamor” lifestyle and to prepare them optimally for the new brand orientation.

Lisa Salzwedel, Project Manager in Revenue Management, completed a six-week job rotation in various DERTOUR Group hotels, during which she gained a wide range of insights into everyday hotel life - from reception to revenue management. The experience enriched her both professionally and personally and will shape her work at the head office in the future.

The Red Star Quality Award is the highest quality award of the DERTOUR Group and recognizes the 150 hotels with the highest customer satisfaction for 2023. Six winning hotels come from the DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts portfolio - congratulations!
