DSR Holding takeover

New addition to the DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts portfolio

DERTOUR Group Hotel Division with strategic repositioning

Welcome to the Home of Holidays: DSR Hotel Holding becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the DERTOUR Group

The DERTOUR Group is continuing to expand its hotel business and is becoming the sole owner of the DSR Hotel Holding (DSR HH). To this end, DERTOUR Hotel & Resorts GmbH is acquiring the shares in the joint venture previously held by Deutsche Seereederei, with effect from 1 August 2026.

Ideal addition to the Home of Holidays

Commenting on this, Christoph Debus, CEO of the DERTOUR Group, explains: „We see a very high strategic value in DSR Hotel Holding. In particular, offers that are easily accessible for our guests by car or train are gaining increasing importance. The DSR HH hotels therefore ideally complement our „Home of Holidays“. With the complete takeover, we aim to purposefully strengthen this strategically important segment, invest further in growth and jointly continue the success story of DSR HH.“

Strong portfolio for car and rail travel

DSR Hotel Holding currently operates and markets 34 hotels in prime locations in Germany, Austria and Italy. The portfolio includes well-known brands such as A-ROSA, aja and HENRI, as well as traditional individual hotels like the Louis C. Jacob in Hamburg and the Hotel NEPTUN in Warnemünde. Following the recent opening of the HENRI hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the next opening of the A-ROSA at Lake Tegernsee is scheduled for September.

Preserve and further develop strengths

DSR Hotel Holding will also remain an independently profiled and important element within the hotel organisation in future: „Its strong market position, operational excellence and sustainable profitability are key success factors that we wish to preserve and systematically develop further,“ explains Ingo Burmester, CEO DERTOUR Group Hotel Division. „At the same time, we will examine how we can tap into additional growth opportunities and make better use of joint strengths through even closer cooperation within the DERTOUR Group.“ At the present time, no organisational changes are planned, and there will be no initial changes to the teams' day-to-day work either.

The target vision: further expanding market leadership

„It is important to us to maintain the strength of the DSR Hotel Holding while simultaneously unlocking shared potential,“ adds Ingo Burmester, CEO of the DERTOUR Group Hotel Division. „The aim is to further strengthen and expand DSR HH's leading role in the holiday hotel sector in Germany, Austria and Italy.“
