In line with our commitment to sustainability, we have implemented the following measures to ensure efficient resource use while minimizing environmental impact. These measures reflect our dedication to creating a sustainable, eco-conscious hotel environment while maintaining guest comfort and preserving natural resources.

Energy Efficiency:

• Installation of 300 kW photovoltaic panels, generating up to 300 kWh at peak times.
• Implementation of 1 MW battery storage systems to store energy for off-peak production and peak consumption, ensuring 80%-90% energy autonomy.
• Use of heat pumps for domestic hot water, which are 4.5 times more efficient than traditional systems.
• Integration of smart building automation systems to optimize energy consumption through programmable lighting schedules, motion sensors for room and common area lighting, and temperature control.

Water Management:

• Implementation of a greywater treatment and reuse system. Greywater from sinks and showers is treated on-site and reused for toilet flushing and irrigation, enabling us to reuse 60%-70% of total water consumption.
• Selection of drought-resistant plants and landscaping, tailored to the Algarve region’s arid climate, reducing irrigation needs and supporting local water conservation efforts.
• Linen exchange policy: Towels and bedsheets are replaced every three days unless otherwise requested by guests, significantly reducing water and detergent usage.

Construction Materials:

• Use of construction systems that minimize concrete use, leading to a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions during the building phase.
• Collaboration with suppliers to develop high-efficiency thermal insulation, reducing energy use for heating and cooling.
