Ingo Burmester, CEO of the DER TOUR Group Hotel Division, is strategically realigning the hotel division's structure. The aim is to improve quality at all levels: a further enhanced guest experience, the further development of all products and a sharpening of hotel brands and hotel concepts, as well as the improvement of processes and services for the benefit of partners and employees. All of this represents important prerequisites for sustained growth of the Hotel Division, which already comprises more than 120 hotels and club resort facilities.
New hotel board appointed
The newly formed Hotel Board shall, with immediate effect, take over all central controlling functions for the Hotel Division across all locations and brands. The DSR Hotel Holding, in which DERTOUR Group holds a majority stake, is excluded from this; it will continue to operate independently in Hamburg. The Board consists of Ingo Burmester, who also chairs the committee, Sebastian Spratte, who is responsible for the Finance department, Christian Grage, who is responsible for the operational hotel business and Frank Seedorff, who heads the commercial division where sales and marketing matters are bundled.
„The Hotel Division is a key factor for the success of the DERTOUR Group. The hotel stay significantly shapes the quality of the travel experience and the satisfaction of guests. Our goal is to bring together a powerful Hotel Division that is focused on guests and partners and sensibly bundles our expertise,“ explains Ingo Burmester. „Furthermore, we will intensify our investments in new hospitality technology to align ourselves closely with the needs of our guests, better support employees, and further optimise processes.”
Strengthen cross-location and cross-brand collaboration
From August 2026, the DER TOUR Hotel Division plans to operate in a new structure, where competencies will be managed across brands and locations in the future. This is intended to make the division Operations In the future, tasks for overseeing the hotel operations for all brands will be taken over. These include Sentido, Aldiana, Playitas, ananea and Calimera. This will place operational excellence at the heart of ensuring the highest quality and service standards across all brands. This year, at least nine more hotel openings are scheduled (including DSR Hotel Holding), primarily in popular Mediterranean destinations, underlining the growth ambition of the hotel division.
The area Commercial will in future centrally manage functions such as Brand Marketing, E-Commerce, Revenue Management, and Sales. „It is important to us to give each brand the best possible framework for growth. We want to further strengthen and sharpen our hotel brands,“ explains Ingo Burmester.
As part of the strategic realignment, Aldiana GmbH and DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts are to be merged into one organisation in future. The Frankfurt and Cologne locations will be retained. Managing Director Aldiana, Andreas Pospiech, is a member of the extended Hotel Board of the Hotel Division.
The DER TOUR Group had already taken over the Clubhotel brand Aldiana completely in May 2022. „We now want to take the next step in integration and also grow together even more closely as a hotel division organisationally and procedurally,“ explains Ingo Burmester. „We continue to see Aldiana as a significant driver of our success and will further develop the unique Clubhotel experience, oriented towards the needs of our guests.“
In the same vein, from August 2026, Aldiana's tour operator activities will also be largely transferred to DER TOUR Deutschland. The Aldiana tour operator brand will continue to exist and will be available through the established sales channels. Detailed information for our sales partners will be provided well in advance via their usual contacts. „The close and trusting collaboration with our Aldiana sales partners is a top priority for me personally, and we will ensure a seamless transition and continued close support,” said Frank Seedorff.
All plans mentioned are currently subject to involving the responsible co-determination bodies planned for the coming weeks.
